Background
Before Phalander passed away, he was a dedicated supporter of Families for Freedom, an organization that advocates for the rights of families affected by immigration and detention policies in the U.S. He actively worked to raise awareness about the injustices these policies inflict on families and their communities. Phalander's support included funding, resources, and advocacy efforts, which helped amplify the organization's message and reach more families in need, furthering their mission of protecting family unity and promoting social justice in immigration policies.
