Peyton's obituary

Peyton Waldrop Ellman age 21, passed away peacefully in his sleep in Miami Florida on October 19, 2021. The cause of death is still pending investigation.
Peyton was a native of Tega Cay, SC and attended Gold Hill Elementary/Middle, Fort Mill High and was a member of the Tega Cay Baptist Church. Peyton was a natural athlete and spent years playing Football and Track & Field. He loved fishing, boxing, and swimming.
Over the past year Peyton had faced challenges with Opioid addiction and through his recovery had committed to helping others with addiction problems. Peyton recently had moved to Orlando Florida to attend Valencia College. He worked in Landscaping and would proudly post pictures of his work online.
Those close to Peyton knew he was a sweetheart with a wild spirit, beautiful soul, and a heart of gold. Peyton was a protector always looking out for his friends, family, school mates and animals. Referred to as a “dog whisperer”, Peyton loved animals. It was no surprise to come home and find a lost dog Peyton had rescued. We are blessed to be left with his rescue BoJack.
Peyton was the beloved son of Darlene Ellman Cotton & Steve Cotton, of Tega Cay, SC.
Peyton always looked up to his big brother (not just in height) Drayton & Emily Ellman of Fort Mill, SC.
Peyton was spoiled rotten by his Aunt Julie (Leo) Korpanty and his cousin Alex Korpanty of Orlando, Florida.
Peyton was blessed with numerous cousins from South Carolina all the way to California.
Peyton’s ashes will be placed between his maternal grandparents Rodney D’Olive & Marjorie Elizabeth Waldrop at The Old Methodist Church Museum of Daphne in Daphne, Alabama.
Funeral Services will be held at the Tega Cay Baptist Church in Tega Cay, SC on Saturday October 30th, 2021 at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Humane Society of York County, 803-802-0902, Hold Out the Lifeline 803-401-5307, Tega Cay Baptist Church 803-548-2600 or the Old Methodist Church Museum of Daphne 251-621-9620.
