Petra will always hold a special place in my heart. Her love for the Lord, family and friends was evident. I miss sharing our prayer concerns and her words of encouragement. She had the most beautiful smile and the best hugs. We will be praying for her family in the days to come.

In my years on this earth I’ve never known someone so sweet and kind and loving as Petra. She always had a hopeful word, she always had an ear, she always had a hug ready. Can’t wait to hug you again my Sister- I’ll meet you beyond the pearly gates- until then give my Daddy a hug! I’m sure he can’t wait for you to sit and listen to his stories again! Miss you so!
I remember meeting Petra back in 2005  at Broadway  Baptist Church were  I had just started working as a pre school teacher  next to her room and I later ended up moving to . She welcomed me with her contagious smile and laughter  . Our friendship lasted throughout  the years , She was always there when I need an ear to cry to , a friend to push me to be better,  an earth angel to spiritually remind God is always near. I truly do miss my Bestest friend ..
We use to go walking and encourage each other and pray together. She encouraged me to go back to school to be a teacher when I felt too old to start a new career.

I so miss Petra singing with us in worship. Prayers for peace and comfort for George and her family.
We are praying for all the family. She was so sweet and loving and will be missed.
We were in our yards across from one another . We each said hello. We were fast friends soon after.
In response to "How did you first meet Petra?"
She was always so sweet and loving. Always there to give a hug and never missed saying how much she loved you. Just the best example of how Christians should love one another.  She always made me feel good about myself and feel valued. Gonna miss all of that and her so much.
My deepest condolences to the family. Even though we recently only saw each other in media, you were a family member held in high esteem. You were family and a lovely woman of god that will be dearly missed. You will never be forgotten my beautiful cousin. Love you and your family.
Ms. Petra was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. I met her through my now husband..he introduced her to me as his second mom. And I kid you not, she has also become mom to me from that day on. I will never forget the hand squeezes, warm hugs and her infectious smile. And the prayers we said together — they meant so much. She gave a presence of calm when I’d confide about nursing school or relationships..she was just amazing. And get togethers with her kids were so fun..she played games with us, related to us..laughed with us. If we knew our last day with her would've been the last, I’m sure we would’ve stayed longer, talked to her longer, hugged her longer.…we’re heartbroken but my husband and I are forever thankful to have known her and loved her. We were so lucky. We love you, ma. You’ll always be with us, keep us in line when you can.
