Peter “Petey” James William Warrell, born February 6, 1991, of Richmond Hill, Ontario, passed away tragically on June 6, 2025, at the age of 34.

Petey was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and moved to Ontario at the age of one. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, and most importantly, a devoted father. He leaves behind his two beloved daughters, Elizabeth Warrell (10) and Isabelle Warrell (7), who were the light of his life. He shared many years and memories with Kaitlin Perks, the mother of his children.

Petey is survived by his mother, Terri-Lynn Cole (Courtney Parks), and his father, Peter Warrell Sr.; his sisters, Jennifer Warrell (Xavier Biggs) and Emma Warrell; his cherished nephew, Jameson Biggs; his maternal grandmother, Linda MacLellan, and his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth “Betty” Warrell; his maternal uncle Jason Cole and paternal aunt Kathy Warrell; his great-aunts Carla (Ron Smith) and Heidi Savage (Les Turmel); his great-uncle Gordie Savage (Betty); and many beloved cousins

He was predeceased by his maternal great-grandparents, Neva and Murray Savage; his maternal grandfather, Herb MacLellan; his paternal grandfather, William Warrell; and his maternal great-uncle, Beverly Savage.

Petey was the life of the party and had a magnetic personality that drew people to him. He was liked by everyone he crossed paths with and had a way of making people feel seen and included. He was truly one of a kind. His passing has devastated his family and friends, who will forever miss his energy, humour, and love. This tragedy has left an unfillable void, and those who loved him are committed to fighting for justice in his name.
