In loving Memory Of….

Peter van den Berg

June 20, 1955 ~ December 22, 2022 (age 67)

It is with deep sadness, but with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce that Peter, our beloved husband, son, brother and uncle, peacefully fell asleep in the Lord after an intense battle with health issues. Peter will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his wife Omaira, his brother Hans, his sister Elly, his sister-in-law Rénee, his brother-in-law Robert, nephews, cousins, extended family (van den Berg, Gomez, Atencio), friends, colleagues, and all who know him.

Peter highly valued education and lifelong learning, he was a pioneer and through hard work and perseverance achieved so much, he was respected for his work ethic and people skills. At work and beyond, Peter loved helping and advising others, whether asked for help or not. His wife Omaira was one of the things that Peter valued the most, often remarking that "I would be nobody without my beautiful wife".

Peter’s family wishes to thank everyone who helped us in this difficult time, specially to the doctors (Dr. M. Ponsen, Drs. M.P. Striekwold, Dr. van Staaij, AISO L. van Hartingsveldt), to the home care nurses (Edsmin, Annemie, Eugene, Nikki, Vera, Anne, Linda, Angela, Nicole, Ellen, Monique, Ruthshendra, Stephanie, Alieke, Richall, Rimon), to the Home Care Organizations (Sofia Zorg & Attenza) for taking such great care of Peter during his time of need.

Peter van den Berg

20 de Junio de 1955 ~ 22 de Diciembre de 2022 (67 años)

Con profunda tristeza, más sin embargo con humilde aceptación de la voluntad de Dios, anunciamos que Peter, nuestro amado esposo, hijo, hermano y tío, se durmió en paz, después de una intensa batalla con problemas de salud.  Él será profundamente extrañado y recordado para siempre por su esposa Omaira, su hermano Hans, su hermana Elly, su cuñada Rénee, su cuñado Robert, sobrinos, primos, familia extendida (van den Berg, Gomez, Atencio), amigos, colegas y todos los que lo conocieron.

Peter valoraba la educación y el aprendizaje continuo; fue considerado un pionero que a través de su perseverancia y arduo trabajo logró alcanzar sus metas, respetado por su ética de trabajo y habilidades.  Él se caracterizaba por aconsejar y ayudar a los demás; su esposa Omaira era una de las cosas que Él más valoraba, muy a menudo expresaba "Yo no sería nadie sin mi bella esposa".

Nuestra familia desea agradecer a todos los que nos apoyaron en estos momentos difíciles, especialmente a los Médicos (Dr. M. Ponsen, Drs. M.P. Striekwold, Dr. van Staaij, AISO L. van Hartingsveldt), a las Enfermeras de Atención Domiciliaria (Edsmin, Annemie, Eugene, Nikki, Vera, Anne, Linda, Angela, Nicole, Ellen, Monique, Ruthshendra, Stephanie, Alieke, Richall, Rimon), a las Organizaciones de Atención Domiciliaria (Sofia Zorg y Attenza) por atender a Peter con tanto amor y dedicación.
