Pete dedicated his life to the care and rescue of animals, becoming a beloved figure in the animal rescue community. He ran the Animal Welfare Society of Southeast Michigan, tirelessly advocating for the wellbeing of animals. His passion for helping those in need was boundless, extending not just to animals but to all who crossed his path.
Pete’s legacy lives on through his niece, who now runs Cleo’s Legacy Inc., a 100% volunteer-based animal rescue inspired by his mission. To continue Pete’s work and honor his memory, the family kindly requests donations to Cleo’s Legacy in lieu of flowers.
