My deepest condolences. I have such fond memories of Peter in his service to the ALC children’s church. Rest in heaven.
I was seriously heart broken when I heard the news of Peter's passing. While sitting in my office I broke down in a ball of tears. Peter to me was like a brother who always called me Sis, When I used to bring my dad to church he was always there looking out for him while I was singing in the choir and always asked about him when he didn't come, the day I told Peter that my dad has Alzheimer's he laid his hand on my shoulder and prayed with me. When one of my family members was going through something I text Peter and asked if he could call her  and he did. I am going to miss my friend! SIP My friend Peter and I know that you will be watching over us as we watch over Valora and the girls because we are the village.
Sending prayers and love to your family during this time.- Aja Johnson

Peter was my friend and my partner. There are too many memories to share. One of my fondest is of him falling asleep on my couch after eating a great meal at our small group meeting. After awhile, people started leaving that area of the couch for him cause everyone knew he would soon be asleep after eating. He LOVED food!!!

I will truly miss your light! You are truly the example of letting your light shine!!

MATTHEW 5:16

So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that the commendable things you do will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

I'd like to briefly reflect on Elder Peter Cunningham Richardson if you don't mind, as his name implies he was truly one a kind.

He smiled and laughed as we all know, but he wasn't afraid to get his point across as he would preceed to give you the business starting with "Negro".

Eating was part worship for him and he loved a good meal, if he wiggled his toes or said the Holy Spirit was in it, it was a big deal

Anytime Pastor needed an elder to preach, APP had a word within reach, as he talked to plants and walls, if we didn't talk back when he teached.

A great husband, his love for Valora was sincere, as he would affectionately call out to her "Hey Dear".

Having two girls - Annaiha and Alaina, and being the only strand of testosterone in the house, I thought he had it bad, but I can't begin to tell you how much this dude loved being a "Girl Dad".

Moma Richardson, Rosa and Jenai, for his family there was nothing he wouldn't do, be reminded that you have an extended family that will always be here for you.

Great Elder, APP (Assistant Pastor Peter that is), my brother and friend, you are missed deeply but we will see you again.

Even now, I bet you are repping 305!You will always be remembered. We will do our part in keeping your memories, love and service to others alive.

Thank you Lord, again, for the blessing you gave us in Elder Peter.

Amen.

My heart is broken! I lost a dear friend, more like a brother! Peter has supported me and my family in different capacities throughout the years! We also worked closely together in ministry. No matter what I was doing, he was one of my biggest supporters and would go to the end of the earth for me, if I needed him to. Elder Peter Richardson, you will always have a place in my heart, brother! We are here to support Valora and your family! Love Always! ❤️🙏🏾 🕊

From: Elder James Anderson

APP was my brother in Christ and co-laborer in the ministry. He was a friend. I will strive to serve, love and finish the race strong as he did ( as he followed Christ). Valora, girls, Moma Richardson and family, we are here for you! Miss you, my brother!✝️

Condolences to Valora & her Babies and Elders Peter entire  Family.  I will miss his infectious smile and his ability to find another’s talent and gift and how they could use it in Gods Kingdom.   You will be truly missed and you were truly loved

In response to "What act of kindness did you witness from Peter?"
Elder Peter led us with the example of giving and serving with a whole heart. This is such an amazing gift and lesson on how to leave your mark on this world. The community at large is blessed with his unwavering commitment and the lifetime of service he willingly contributed.  He cannot be replaced.  Rest in power Pastor Peter Daniel Cunningham Richardson.

Peter ypu were such a good soul. I will never forget when we and how we met. When I first met your family.  Through the program. It was so long ago, but I will never forget. I still remember the things you taught. I am truly shocked and devastated by this news. I am just hearing.  As I shed tears for you and understand your family's pain and hurt, I don't know what else I can say... there are truly no words that will take away the empty feeling that they have. Mrs. Richardson and your beautiful girls, try to stay as strong as you can and think of the good times.  All of the people's lives he touched and how many people he impacted so well. I will keepnyou all in my prayers.  And send ypu my deepest sincerest condolences.

I learned tonight at Peter's memorial service that he was quite the prankster.  I knew  that he had a good sense of humor & loved a good laugh!  It reminded me of how we got him really good with our off-color practical joke at his & Valora's wedding reception.  Shortly after we'd gathered inside the church fellowship hall, I made an announcement that since Peter was now married that we needed all the ladies to whom he had given his keys to turn them in pronto! If only you could have seen his face and that "the devil is a lie" look he gave me as I pleaded with the ladies to turn those keys in now because Valora had taken him off the market!  The hall roared with laughter as  maybe 20 or so ladies came forward. There was a couple of 6 or 7 year olds in the parade.  A few teenagers and several 30 somethings.  Plus there was at least 2 or 3 good natured senior citizens all turning in their keys!  It was a priceless moment of the joy, laughter and good times that you were sure to enjoy when you were around our dear brother! Thanks for the memories, the laughs and the smiles!  We'll miss you a whole lot Elder Peter and rest assured that  we will keep loving on your beautiful family for you!  So until we see you again, enjoy Jesus & your mansion and don't cut up too much up there! ❤
Big brother thanks for always wearing your Purple Heart!!! Wear your crown we love u stewart family
