Peter graduated from Montclair High School in New Jersey in 1950. He later attended the University of Notre Dame, earning a B.S. in Business. His accomplishments were not limited to the academic realm. In high school, he contributed to a state championship football team, and at Notre Dame, he demonstrated his dedication as a walk-on practice team member.
Peter's love for music was evident in his fondness for singing "East of the Sun, West of the Moon" to his dear wife and "Route 66." He enjoyed watching the performances of Tony Bennett, and his favorite film was the timeless classic Casablanca. As a one-time Brooklyn Dodger's fan, he eventually shifted his allegiance to the NY Giants and Mets. He was an avid golf player, both as a recreational activity and a form of exercise.
Nature and travel were also part of Peter's interests. He loved the beautiful landscapes of Hawaii and the rich culture of Ireland. Locally, he enjoyed Big Band music, a testament to his appreciation for the golden era of jazz.
Peter was a phenomenal salesman, specializing in paper and newsprint. Known for his equitable philosophy, he often advised others to "treat people as you expect to be treated". His commitment extended beyond his professional career, as he passionately championed causes such as Parkinson's Research and Veterans' support.
Peter was a proud serviceman and served as a 1st Lt. in the US Air Force. His passing leaves a void, but the memories of his amazing life will always remain. Peter Regan, Sr., will be deeply missed by his family and all those fortunate to have known him.
