"I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked at Catalina, so I watched Peter's children and grandchildren grow up. I know he will be missed by them. My thoughts and prayers are with his family."

From December 16, 1945. Dicki…
1945
From December 16, 1945. Dickie was 3 years old and Peter 9 months old. A photographer went through the neighborhood with a pony and families would pay a dollar or thereabouts to have their kids photographed on it.
Thanks for the thoughts you all have shared so far. I had a chance to get together with Dad's brother and sister Dickie and Becky last week and they had some very old photos from back in the 40s and 50s that I've been getting scanned in to post here. It's been a stroll through some old moments before my time when they were growing up in their tight knit barrio down by 19th Ave & Ocotillo. Makes me wonder whether Dad had the same infectious laugh when he was a kid as I go through these.
So friendly. Everyone liked him and enjoyed his company. He would go over & above to help some one.
Peter had a salesman help my wife, Carol, find what was at that time the car of her dreams - a 1979 Mustang that we found when Peter worked at the Lou Grubb Dealership at 27th Avenue and Camelback. She LOVED that car, and we got a good deal on it due to Peter. Our family thought the world of Peter, he was so humble, loving and kind. He was one of my favorite Brothers-In-Law, and we all loved his three children and still do.
So very sad that he left us all so suddenly.
I did not know Peter well. But Kara, Dan and my husband Dave all thought of him so fondly. Uncle Peter helped Dave locate his first vehicle. A Chevy Luv that Peter spotted at the dealership where he worked. Peter then arranged to have the interior all redone before it left the lot, no doubt getting Dave a nice deal on all that. Next came learning how to drive a 4-speed. Peter was, much like his 3 children, a highly intelligent man and left that part to John. Death is our enemy because we have no control over it and it’s not partial and it’s not avoidable in this world. However, the promises from God’s Word can be trusted that we will see all our loved ones again. John 5: 28, 29 Our heart breaks for the loss of such a clearly loved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.

Phoenix Sun's basket ball games. Thinking of Peter a lot since they are in the playoffs. He would definately be watching! 🏀
