I will always remember Peter as a kind , caring, funny and whitty guy. As his caregiver we had plenty of talks and laughter. Never a dull moment with Peter.
Sending condolences to Peters family and friends. Please know Peter will always be thought of fondly.
Blessings

Ah, but we shall miss Peter here in St Guilhem... Those twinkling blue eyes, lit up with whatever notion had taken him. There was always a juice or concoction to be sampled: something with some radical health benefit he'd read about and had duly shipped from some far-flung place (and there was always a spare bottle, as though convincing someone else to take it would somehow double its efficacy).
That big toothy smile, when he handed you your mystery gift from Japan: 'a masterpiece of Japanese engineering' he'd say: you'd duly look at it and wonder what the hell it was. 'But you have to guess' he'd say. Well, it turned out it was a miniscule brush with wooden bristles to scrape ginger from the rough side of a grater. I failed to guess, I own. But, I didn't fail to laugh. In fact, we never failed to laugh with Peter as he regaled us with talk of travels or schemes. For Peter not only travelled the world, the world travelled with him to be glimpsed by those he talked with.
A man who brought much colour to our lives. Such generosity, such joy, such provocation, our lives are much the poorer for his passing.
So terribly sorry for your loss,
Niamh and JP Moresmau, St Guilhem

Our condolences to all Peter's family. He was a lovely friend and neighbour and we have many happy memories of shared coffees and good chats in the square at Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert. So very sad to hear the news - we will miss him, his exuberance and his laughter. Bill and Stephanie Laslett
