Peter Chris Mitchell, age 78, loving son of the late Chris and Anne Mitchell. Peter was a resident of Barboursville, VA when he passed away on September 29, 2020. Beloved husband of Mary Frances (nee Morreale), devoted father of Frances (Mitchell) Hrdlicka; son in law Mitchal Hrdlicka, Chris Mitchell and Carrie Bailey. Grandfather of Callen Bailey; Mackenzie Bailey; loving brother of Anthony Mitchell and (the late Patricia Mitchell); dear uncle to many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Peter attended Fenwick H.S. in the Chicago area and was vice president of his class for four years. He was captain of the Catholic league 1959 championship team. He was a member of the National Honor Society and was named to the Catholic League Hall Of Fame. He attended Bainbridge Naval Academy and then went onto the Air Force Academy. Peter graduated Illinois Institute of Technology with honors and spent his entire career as an executive with Mobil Oil Co.

Due to Covid there will only be an intimate memorial for immediate family.
