We met while working as contractors at BNR/Nortel. He had just left the Westin hotel as a valet and he started working for Bobby Neil as I moved to a different BNR location. He always seemed to be one step behind me. If I' moved to a different department then he would move into my previous role. That continued until about 1995/96 when I became full time in a completely different department.
We still hung out a lot together!!! He was a great friend and was always up for a good time!!
I apologize for taking so long to write this but I was completely shocked and didn't know what to say!!!
My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends...I miss him dearly!!!

I am beyond sorry and upset to hear of Peter's passing. Peter was always such a wonderful friend. I will miss his laugh, his love for life and adventure! There are people in life that just energize the room they walk into and Pete was one of them. Condolences to Peter's parents and his son, who he loved more than anything. Thank you for sharing Peter with the rest of us. Janine and Brian

My deepest condolences to Peter's family. I met Peter when I started as a contractor for Northern in 1990. One of the first stories he told me was of going to court to fight a ticket, representing himself, which amazed me. He lost the case but the judge commended him for his work on his case. I came to learn that he too grew up in a small town and in similar households and that was one of the anchors of our friendship, we just understood each other.
Peter would light up any room he walked into. He'd have you and the rest of the room laughing within minutes of entering. Walking into East Side's in Bells Corners with Pete and Richard was like walking into Cheers with Norm. Peter!, the room would ring out. That's because Peter made a point to get to know everyone there and he was always quick to lend a helping hand when his friends needed one.
After he moved on to other work, I was continuously asked, How's Peter doing, by so many different people. If you were lucky enough to know Pete, you loved him. You couldn't help but love the guy.

Whatever it's costs, I will pay,
So be easy and free,

I'm a man you don't meet everyday.
Pete was truly a man you don't meet everyday. His loss is immeasurable to us. My deepest sympathies are with his family, his love Diane, his son Matthew, and all who knew Peter. Rest in peace, my brother.

My sincerest condolences to Peter's family and loved ones. Pete was a kind and generous soul, a great friend, and incredibly proud father. He was always willing and eager to lend a hand, be a shoulder to cry on, or there to make you laugh. Pete was always talking about his son, how much he loved him and how proud he was of his hard work and blossoming career.Pete was truly a beautiful soul who will be dearly missed by many. My deepest condolences to Peter’s family and loved ones.
Pete was truly one of the most kind and genuine people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He had an incredible gift for bringing people together, his energy could light up any room. He spent all his time making others feel good.
Pete, I’ll always miss your skating demos, your ability to put a funny twist on every story, and your unwavering commitment to fun. The slow days at the Office would not have been the same without your company and the busy ones would not have been possible without our “shared brain.” You were the life of the party and you will be deeply missed. Rest easy.
With deepest sympathies,
Margaux
