It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Peter "Sneaky Pete" Kopczyk, who passed away on July 10, 2024. Born on May 14, 1972, Peter touched many lives with his caring and generous spirit, and his loss leaves a void that can never be filled.

Known affectionately as Sneaky Pete, though he preferred Peter, he will be remembered for his undeniable love for his family and particularly his children. These relationships were his pride and joy, with one of his greatest accomplishments being the raising of his two beautiful children.

Peter was not just a wonderful father, brother and uncle, but also a mentor, teacher and friend. His teachings extended beyond the worldly-wise, into the celestial. He taught us about the stars and God, lessons which will remain with us. His legacy is one of kindness and generosity, traits reflected in his every interaction.

He leaves behind his mother, Christine D. Gonzales and stepfather, Joe Gonzales, 2 sisters, Marie Gonzales and MaryAnn (Omar) Trevino, 2 nephews, Joseph Engstrom and Antonio Engstrom. A cherished father to Peter Steven Kopczyk and Ivy Rose Kopczyk,  who will miss him immensely. Their lives, while undoubtedly brighter for having had Peter in them, will now have to navigate the world without his guiding light.

Peter's passing is not only a heavy loss to his family, but also to his friends and all who knew him. His spirit and love will continue to live on through the memories and stories shared by his loved ones. Rest in peace, Peter, your legacy will continue to inspire those you've left behind.
