I’ve only just found out that Peter died in a car crash. My condolences to his family and friends. He had only recently finished owner-building his dream home and was enjoying his retirement. He was a good neighbour and will be missed here.
I have only recently heard of Peter's passing. Sincere condolences to Donovan and family.
I am very sorry to hear of Peter's passing & I regret I couldn't attend his funeral as I have been away. I worked with Peter for quite a while at Alcoa & he was a pleasure to work with - always positive, helpful & his expertise was highly regarded. My sincere condolences to Peter's family & friends.

We shared quite some years as colleagues with Bekouw Mendes but in fact we were soul mates. Especially during the time we shared the apartment in Amsterdam. It is unreal that Peter is gone for ever now but he will live for ever in my mind as my friend who lived his live intens and fully.
Back in the 80's he worked with Bekouw Mendes (later A&A, Aon) in Amsterdam as a C.A.R. specialist. Together with Piet,  Rene and Albert he used to make Amsterdam unsafe... He was a professional, loving and caring person. And for the ladies...easy on the eye.  May you have an exciting afterlife just as you had on earth.
I am Peters oldest cousin and remember him as a toddler in Palmerston North and Marton between 1951 and 1956 when we moved to Christchurch

I was shocked to hear of Pete’s tragic passing and send deepest sympathies to his family especially to Donovan whom he spoke of so often and with such pride.

What a legend who always made time for people especially those of us who loved to listen to his many adventures. Peter was always willing to share his knowledge in risk management and insurance. Thank you for a wonderful “career journey” at Alcoa. Goodbye Boss!!

Pete, you were a great friend, professional in your chosen career, and a true adventurer. You lived life to the full and will be missed by many.  Mish and I send our condolences to your loved ones.
Peter was a good friend and colleague at Alcoa. His loss in this way, especially given his many road ( and off road) adventures across the world is a shock. My condolences to his family and close friends.  Peter Phillips

Just found out about the tragic accident which took Peter from us. I am in shock and my sincere condolences go out to Peter's Son who he talked about often.

Lila and Peter’s family
