Laurie and I felt fortunate every time Peter shared one of his remarkable stories with charm, wit, and a smile. He exuded wisdom, vitality, and understanding.
I had the privilege, honor, and good times with Peter when we were together on the American Psychiatric Ethics Committee. Peter was the consummate Renaissance man and we all thrilled at his stories, his insight, his wit and absolute wonderful collegial friendship. My wife and I were blessed to continue our friendship with Peter and Stephi in the years since then and cherished the times we could get together.
He will be sorely missed but we're sure he'll stay in everyone's hearts.
What an incredible human- thank you for sharing just a glimpse in to your father, grandfather’s life. And what an incredible loss. Holding all of you in love.
I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Reading the obituary brought back so many memories of Peter, and I learned so much more about a truly remarkable man. Please accept my condolences. May his memory continue to be a blessing.
May his memory be for a blessing. I remember talking to him about university life, my work, and his take on contemporary academic life. He had such a twinkle in his eye and such a great smile... He smiled a wry smile even when he had started to go into decline, and made light of his ailment, as he had such a strong spirit he could see to the heart of any matter in a pragmatic sense but also with wit and care.
