I met Pete when I was around 15 years old. He was Alex’s older brother. And I am happy to say, we maintained a friendship ever since. Yes there were gaps of years. However not many passed where we didn’t have our chats about life, the universe, and everything. I saw Pete go though many stages in his life. He was a remarkable man. I will miss our chats.
Peter was a great brother growing up. He taught me to play chess when I was three. In the rough and tumble years, I always felt like he had my back. And Vice Versa. And there were a few times, when that was needed. We had the occasional falling out but we loved each other tremendously.
I lived in the same house with Sheila and Alex on Elm Street in the summer of 1987 and also met Peter then. It was a great summer and never a dull moment. I also later shared a house with Peter near St. Clair W. and the fun continued. Peter had a quick wit and a mischievous streak and although I lost touch after moving overseas, I have very fond memories of those days. My condolences to the Ferentzy family. Rest in Peace.
I knew Peter from grad school at York. Alex got me in touch with him later on because we were both researching gambling. My sympathies to the Ferentzy family.
