Peter Beaudoin, 81, of Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada, passed away on May 08, 2025 after a long battle with Parkinsons.

With deep sorrow, we share the passing of Peter George Beaudoin, who left us on May 8, 2025, at the age of 81, surrounded by family after a long struggle with Parkinson’s.

Peter is now reunited with those who passed before him—his parents, Jules and Grace, and his sister Andrea.

Holding him forever close in their hearts are his devoted wife of 52 years, Vickie, his beloved children Jennie (Randy) and Mike (Pam), and his cherished grandchildren Ryan, Jack, and Maggie. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings, Mary, Martha (Gary), Evelyn, John (Janice), and Patty (Tracy), along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Born on January 12, 1944, in Hobbs, New Mexico, Peter grew up in a lively household as one of seven children. He eventually found his way to Vancouver, where he pursued engineering at UBC. Intelligent, driven, and endlessly curious, Peter was never one to sit still—an outlook that shaped the course of his life.

Peter’s love story with Vickie began in North Vancouver. After a single meeting, he left for Hawaii, but she remained on his mind. He returned with a necklace for her, and upon his arrival that September, he made sure to call. By the following April, they were married. Together, they built a family and a life full of adventure and love, spending some time in northern BC and the Cariboo, where Jennie and Mike were born, finally settling in Port Coquitlam.

A man of boundless energy, Peter thrived in the outdoors—whether scuba diving, riding his enduro motorbike, or piloting planes with his private license. His passion for motorsports defined much of his life, as he spent countless hours at the track, racing in long rallies, graduating from the Jim Russell Racing School, and securing back-to-back GT-S (Unlimited) championships for BC in 1998 and 1999. In the ’90s, he raced a Datsun, even earning an invitation to the Molson Indy Vancouver. Racing became a family affair—with his brother John, Vickie as the “pit lady”, always arriving with lunch, and Michael lending a hand as the pit crew. Over time, he transitioned to driving Audis, one of which Vickie still drives today.

Off the track, Peter found joy in woodworking and always had a project underway. Yet, no matter his pursuits, nothing mattered more to him than his family. He loved to see his grandkids and teach them many things, including the Vulcan salute.

Peter’s absence leaves an immeasurable void, but the love he shared and the memories he created will remain forever.

Family and friends will honor Peter in their own personal ways. No formal service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s honor can be made to the Parkinson Society of BC.
