It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peter "Pete" Joseph Barnes. Peter departed from this life surrounded by loved ones on December 14, 2023. Peter's presence in our lives was marked by a unique charm, and an overwhelming capacity to love.

Peter will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of his family, and the dusty Chicago Bears baseball hat he was always seen in. He will also be remembered as a strong pillar of support for his children, a doting grandpa to his grandchildren and a cherished brother to his siblings.

Peter is survived by his children: Meghan (Luke) Baker, Mackenzie Barnes and Melanie (Luke) Barnes. His two grandchildren: Kane Holmquist and Peyton Baker. His siblings: Diana Kidd, Charles "Ed" (Elida) Barnes, Marie (Dave) Mack, and Michael (Laura) Barnes. Plus, numerous extended family members including cousins, nieces, nephews.

Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Barnes Jr. and Patricia Barnes and his ex-wife, Eveline Barnes.
