Peter Asplund, born February 1, 1961, passed away on March 18, 2025. A man of great spirit and humor, Peter lived his life with an energy that was both infectious and inspiring. He was a man of many words, always quick with a joke or a witty comment, bringing joy and laughter to those around him. His outgoing nature and cheerful disposition will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Peter firmly believed in the importance of taking care of one's family, cultivating strong friendships, and maintaining unshakable faith and integrity. These life lessons, which he generously shared with those around him, have left an indelible impression and will persist as a testament to his character and wisdom.
Among his many accomplishments, Peter raised two beautiful children whom he loved dearly, served diligently as an elder and full time minister as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, worked for 35 years for the IRS, then retired to build a house and enjoy life with family and friends on the river. These remarkable accomplishments, each in their unique way, reflect Peter's commitment to his family, faith, and community.
Perpetuating his legacy of kindness and hospitality, Peter was a beacon of warmth and welcome. His door was always open, his table always set, and his heart ready to receive friends and loved ones. His ability to make those around him feel loved and valued will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Peter Asplund will be profoundly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched with his love, laughter, and kindness.
