Peter's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Arika, who departed this life on April 6, 2025, just shy of his 64th birthday. Born on April 24, 1961, in Kisii, Kenya, Peter moved to Minneapolis in 1986, where he went on to raise his 3 children. Having moved across the world in search of greater opportunity, Peter lived a life of strength and dedication, creating a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Peter is survived by his three sons, Victor, Kaleb, and Benjamin Arika, each a testament to the dedication, sacrifice, and wisdom they received from their father. He was the proud grandfather of Khloe, Franklin, and Frederick Arika, who will undoubtedly carry forward the virtues instilled by their grandfather. Predeceased by his father, Joseph Arika, and his mother, Karnael Arika, Peter now joins his parents in eternal rest, along with his late sisters Josephine and Mary.

Of his many accomplishments, Peter was most proud of his three sons. They were his pride and joy, the reflection of his own spirit and character. Each of his sons possesses the core qualities that Peter exhibited throughout his life — determination, loyalty, and resilience.

A Funeral service to celebrate the life of Peter will be held on April 27, 2025, at 3:30 PM at the Kenyan Community Seventh-day Adventist Church. Those who wish to remember Peter in a special way, may gift a donation to "Bring Peter Home to Kenya". Donations can be made at https://everloved.com/life-of…. Your support is much appreciated during this difficult time.
