In Loving Memory of Penny Sue Griffith.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Penny Sue Griffith, who peacefully passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 68. She is preceeded in death by her husband of 48 years, Roger, her Parents, Don Griffith, Dale and Sandy Spangler and brother in law, John Miller. She is survived by her daughters, Tina Fair (Todd), Shelli Curtis and Amanda Griffith, Furbabies Gibbs and Rosie, Siblings Louann Miller, Mark Spangler (Kim), Melanie Gagnon, Tom Spangler (Ronda), Marta Hill (Randy), Cindy Weier, Jon Coleman, Roger Coleman, many nieces and nephews, cousins, grandchildren Kathryn Messerschmidt (Ben), Ashleigh Curtis, Jenny Curtis, Cole Jackson, Ian Guinn, Daphne Collett, Declan Griffith, great grandchildren Carlam, Leo, Rilla, Teddie, Azrael, Sutton and life long friend, Susan Darling.
Penny was a Hilliard High School Alumni and worked for Xenia City Schools for over 30 years.
Penny was a nurturing, generous, loving, compassionate friend to many, a source of strength and wisdom to all who knew her. Her gentle spirit, unwavering love, and infectious kindness touched the lives of everyone she encountered.
Throughout her life, she found joy in her grandchildren, cooking, gardening, reading, her retired life living along White Oak Creek in Georgetown Ohio, fostering puppies & dogs, even adopting several. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Penny made the decision many years ago to generously donate her body to the Boonshoft Wright State University School of Medicine.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for January 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brown Co. Animal Shelter or Ohio's Hospice of Dayton in her honor.
