As I am watching an episode of Chopped I was delighted by a contestant Penelope Grace and curious to learn a little more about her culinary /animal rescue  life.  Obviously this obituary is not what I expected to find. Thank you, thank you for being open about your beloved Poppy’s journey. I am also a “Poppy”. I spent too many years struggling like she did, self medicating with opioids. With the support of my (now) husband I am stable, working and advocating for those who look like me and Poppy .  Please know  that your words of love reached me and touched me .
