Sharon and Stan knew Peggy - Peggy was always there with a good joke a great sense of humor. She was one of the finest ladies that I ever knew I first met her through her husband Melvin, who was a fireman with my father. I never saw Peggy lose control, lose her temper or be mean to anyone. She was always there to Linda hand to lift the spirit and to just be awesome and the world is not a better place without her in it we will miss her forever. We still think of her often and some of the funny things that we went through our time as nurses together. Sharon and I think Peggy was a great American hero who served her country with honor. Then only to come back and serve her community is one of the best nurses in this county Peggy we will always love you, Stan and Sharon
To the family of Peggy Shirley. So very sorry to hear about the loss of a friend and a dear co-worker. You are in our thoughts and prayers. John5:28,29. is a comfort for all Take care
Having known Peggy for just a little while, I will remember her poise and humor and how modest she was. Concord Community Church in Anderson SC was where I first met "PAL" (Peggy - Ann - Libby)! The "three new ladies" quickly touched my heart! Lunch after church was something to look forward to. God has the best, now.
So sorry to hear about your Mom. I have tried to keep up with her through Diane Padgett. So many good and funny memories of working with her in the Nursing Office. She was quite a character! Praying for your family.
