Peggy's obituary

Peggy Romero, born in 1956, passed away on September 7, 2025. She lived a full and vibrant life, devoted to her family and the culinary arts. Peggy was beloved for her nurturing spirit and her boundless capacity for kindness. Her rich legacy will endure in the hearts of all she touched, remembered as a beacon of love and compassion.

Peggy is survived by her brothers, Joy Romero and Lane Romero; her sisters, Sheree Tims and Trinie Tate; and many nieces and nephews. Each of these individuals were touched deeply by Peggy's warmth and selflessness, and her memory will forever remain a cherished part of their lives.

Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Jeff Calhoun, whom she married in 1990 and shared many joyful years with, and her parents, Baudie and Peggy Romero. The love she held for her husband and her parents was evident in all aspects of her life, and her devotion to her family represented one of her most admirable qualities.

Known for her love of cooking, Peggy's kitchen was always a place of warmth, love, and the smell of home-cooked meals. This passion for culinary creativity allowed her to infuse every dish with a taste of her loving spirit, connecting her with family and friends in the most personal way.

Peggy was a loving and caring individual, whose commitment to her family was unrivaled. Her legacy lies in the love she spread, the care she took, and the smiles she brought to people's faces. Her passing is a significant loss, not only to her family but to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be greatly missed.
