Peggy's obituary

Peggy Moore, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord on November 24, where she joins her dearly departed family members and friends, especially her mother Edna, husband Craig and son Breggar. Born in Kansas City, Missouri she discovered the joy of traveling at an early age as she and her brother Ray would journey by train to visit their country grandparents in Stromsberg, Nebraska. During her more than fifty-year marriage to Craig Moore they lived in many places and traveled throughout the United States and the World. Always quick with a joke, Peggy helped everyone around her see the happiness and fun that could be found in everyday life. She served her family and community in so many small and large ways; co-founding a reading program and running the fund-raising, helping with the High School booster club, polling place volunteer, helping at her Church to name just a few. In addition to the joy she found as daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she also enjoyed her time working, first as a switchboard operator for a private company where she met Craig and later as the kids were older she helped to launch BoA’s new ATMs throughout California and the Southwest and helped with broader access to the new California lottery. We will miss going to the Casinos, doing scratchers, hearing her many real and improv songs, her cooking, sharing a glass of wine, and so many other things that made being around Peggy Moore such fun. Peggy is survived by her brother Ray and his wife Marj, her son Greg and his wife Sandy, her son Mike, her daughter Pam and her husband Pete, and Breggar’s wife Kathy; grandchildren Toni and her husband Justin, Alexis and her husband Matt, Sandy and her husband , Caitlin and her husband John, Jackie and Dan; and great-grandchildren Leila, Levi, Max, Ryder, Pami and Danilo. In honor of her lifetime commitment to serving others we are asking that in lieu of flowers all donations be made to the The Water Infrastructure for Rwanda Project.   Please click on the Give tab above.
