Peg had a signature smile that radiated joy. She radiated fun. I envied her smooth warm unblemished completion. My most precious memories seem to be around our children starting their life together and birth of our grandchildren.
While our children were on their honeymoon, she and I set up their new home and we bonded over lining kitchen and cabinets. Whenever she stayed with me in So Cal, we always stopped for ice cream on the way back to my house, which was her home base when the babies were born. We talked about our first grandchild's birth with much laughter and joy. We expected a boy and were totally surprised it was our precious Muria who came!
She always welcomed me into her home and her friends became mine when I moved North after our 4th grandchild together was born. Her sons welcomed me with open arms as did all the family. I admired Peg for raising 4 wonderful children and being someone who embraced and welcomed all. She was very intelligent, gifted teacher and friend who showed much love via her quilts and her open heart and home.
Your family and friends call you blessed...... and so you are...

I am saddened by the news of Peg‘s passing, but there is rejoicing as well knowing she’s home with her Lord. I met Peg at University Covenant Church when she first moved to Davis from Iowa. I remember her smile and Joy. We grew our friendship when she taught my daughter at Birch Lane. Peg was a wonderful teacher full of love for her kids. We had some great talks. Miss you Peg. You were an important part of our lives.

I was so sorry to hear of Peggy's passing. She and I started kindergarten together in the fall of 1949 in the basement of the Essex, Iowa Lutheran Church. I remember thinking she was the cutest little girl I had ever seen. We graduated still together in 1962. Ironically, a large number of these "townies" and farms kids remained together for all those years forming a relationship still remaining to this day. The Class of '62 continues to loose members, but the memories remain for those still around. RIP Peggy.

So sorry to hear of your loss, Peggy was a dear friend and class mate from Essex school. We had many adventures together from making doll furniture to cutting out paper dolls out of Sears catalogs. Of course there was basketball and going to swimming lessons together in Red Oak. Good memories!
