I normally don’t leave things about memories from so long ago, but as I am now an educator, I see how much of an impact your mom had on me as my first grade teacher. Your mom came to dinner, and she ate with my family. She wanted to tell them how much she enjoyed having me, and in hindsight, I think she was making sure I was alright. My parents got divorced the next year, and I think her intuition kicked in to check in with me. What an important thing to do for a child, and at 37 years old now, I truly appreciate her doing that.
