Her memory will remain vibrant in our hearts as her presence was such a joy and certainly enveloped those around her. We’ve know her for a short time but long enough that her loss still impacts our thoughts as we pray for Ama and her family.
My heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time.
Mommy Paulina will truly be missed. I remember many times when I went to AMA’s house for dinner and was able to partake in the scrumptious meals. Ama and her mom practically lived at Loehmann’s clothing store. She always found a deal! But I think what I will remember the most and miss the most about her is that EVERYONE was treated like family. RIP
Mrs. Karikari accomplished so much in her life. Having had the pleasure of spending time with her, I remember Mrs. Karikari’s warmth and kindness the most. I am sending my deepest condolences to the entire Karikari family. Mr. Karikari, Gerald, Ama, and Queenette, you all are forever in my thoughts and prayers.
What I learned from my God mother is happiness is key to one's life..Akua
In response to "What did you learn from Paulina?"
Paulina left too soon, but her legacy lives on through the incredible children she gave the world. She's left a special piece of herself, and for that, we're thankful. I pray that the time will come soon, when the thought of her will bring smiles, and not tears.

Let's honor her memory by caring for others.

Love,
Fred & Esther Twum-Acheampong
My Auntie Paulina. What a lady. Elegance personified. And just a really honest, down to earth, great human being. She helped me get my start in television by allowing me to stay in her home while I interned in NYC. She cooked everyday. Every Single Day. Just because. I may or may not have put on a few pounds that summer. I know I was Happy. Lolol.

The first time I ever watched Barack Obama speak was with Auntie Paulina during the 2004 Democratic National Convention. We sat in her living room and marveled at what we had just seen. I can remember her saying “He should run for president in 2012.” We got our wish 4 years earlier than expected. Lolol

Auntie Paul. I am so grateful to have known you, to have been able to share with you, and most of all for your friendship with my mother. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. We Love You. We Miss You. I am confident we will meet again. Save me a seat... and if you happen to make some corn soufflé that day... please save me a slice.
Gerald, Ama, Queenette, and Uncle Kojo. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Rest in Perfect Peace, Auntie Paul.
Auntie Paulina left an indelible mark on every person she met. May her memory be a blessing to all of us.

Love,

Words alone cannot express my sorrow that my God mother is no longer with us...She meant the world to me and I am finding it difficult to be without her..May our heavenly father comfort us all as we mourn the loss of such a beautiful soul..
With all my love,
Akua
Paulina was kind and compassionate to all she met. Made everyone feel like they were her best friend and special.
In response to "What made Paulina different from most people you know?"
The world lost a beautiful person whose broad smile transformed darkness into light at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Reformed Church, Bronx, NY. May the Lord hold the family firm and sustain their hope in the face of this unimaginable loss. Mrs. Karikari, "nante yie". Damirifa due, due ne amanehunu!!
Please accept my condolences. Your mother was beautiful on the inside and on the outside. I will miss seeing her at your events.
Every breath is a gift of life and every moment of existence a grace. My Beloved kindred sister has been summoned to her Father's palace. She lived and was alive in body, soul, mind, spirit and has carved her name in our hearts. Our friendship kinship began in 2017 on the threshold of making history in Nassau County. She embraced the idea of her daughter Ama 's history making endeavor. Clinging to this and other memories was a testament of her life to me. Immense grief for her passing and gratitude for having her in my life. For her children and loved ones, you will always have her on your hands forever , in your heart, the tip of your tongue, words from your mouth. Her departure equates with homecoming as she has passed through the waiting room and dressed for immortality. Beyond space and time to life eternal. Sorrow in my heart...tears in my eyes and will see you again when the door opens upon the great vastness of beyond to take me out among the stars. Prayers and Condolences always!!!
Our sincerest condolences. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

We are heartbroken by the sudden death of our beloved Aunt Paulina, she was an amazing lady who as kids would always send us very beautiful gifts when we lived in Ghana. When I had my daughter we received a beautiful surprise from Aunty for her grandbaby. We will miss her tremendously because she was our favorite Aunt. To our cousins, u are blessed to have called such a wonderful lady your mum, she was truly loved by many. Have our sympathies, rest in peace Aunty
