Paula's obituary

Paula T. Wyant, 63, of Kittanning, PA died Saturday, September 28, 2024 of unexpected health complications at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born February 6, 1961 in Clarion, PA, the only child of the late John and Leona "Marie" Oyler Wyant.

Paula was a graduate of Redbank Valley High School, Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and Lenape Practical Nursing. She was employed as a bus nurse for STAT Staffing.

Paula was an avid reader, science fiction and fantasy fan, crafter, dog mom, and Pagan. Her greatest pleasure came from writing, and she authored and published two books, as well as two flash fiction pieces among the Queer Sci Fi Anthologies, under the name P. T. Wyant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Mac Colwell, grandparents Paul and Annabelle Wyant and Floyd "Hap" and Leona Oyler, and her dogs Ginny, Betsy, and Riley.

She is survived by her found family and friends, and stepbrothers Kyle and David Wyant, aunt and uncle Susan and Pete Briggs, cousins Matthew and Aaron Briggs, and her dog Smokin' Joe "JoJo."

Per Paula's request, no funeral services will be held.  She also hated having her photo taken, so in lieu of her photo, her adopted dogs are shown in the following order: Riley, Jazzy, Paloma, JoJo, and Casper.
