So sorry for the loss of  Paula.  May God wrap his arms of comfort around all who loved her.

Fly high and free Paula.

LadyWizard on 123stitch board

I'm so sorry for the loss of Paula. I'll always think of her whenever [ insert circumstance(s) ].

Before the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) organization went up in flames last year, Paula was a die-hard participant of its Camp and November challenges to write 50,000 words in a month. She also thoroughly enjoyed NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month) in April where you were challenged to write a poem a day for the whole month. She shared those poems on one of her blogs.

As I was searching for the words to honor her memory and her career as an author on my blog author platform, I came across one of the last poems she shared for NaPoWriMo. It seemed a very fitting memorial of Paula’s mindset to never give up, so I thought I’d share it here, too.

“Learning Again”

I’m so afraid of falling

I’ve forgotten how to fly.

I don’t think my wings are broken

they just don’t know how to try.

I feel I have to relearn

all the things that I once knew:

how to live

how to love

how to be and do.
