Paula's obituary
Paula J Culbert (neé Descher) went to be reunited with the love of her life on April 16, 2026. Born in Okeene, OK on October 13, 1943 to Joe and Genevieve Descher, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jim and her parents. She is survived by her three daughters, Lori (Eddie - Reagan, Cody), Julie (Jason) and Becky (Josh), her three grandchildren, Tony (Taylor), Bridgette and Nick, her great-grandson James, her beloved sisters Jean, Stephanie, Judy and Carol and their families, along with many dear friends.
In her spare time she loved to read, watch sports and shop. She was particularly fond of the Outlander series and was a top fan of the OKC Thunder, OU football and softball.
She leaves a strong legacy of caring for her family. If she loved you, you knew it. If there was a family event, she would be there. She was always someone you could count on.
She was involved in her daughters’ lives for her entire life. She knew all of their friends and they called her “Mom” just as she was “Mimi” to her grandchildrens’ friends.
What a fantastic cook! She made the best pies and did so much to contribute to Thanksgiving dinner and many other family celebrations.
She had a zany sense of humor and was so much fun to be around. There were many times that we laughed so hard we had tears rolling down our faces.
A memorial mass along with a celebration of her life will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 23 at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, 7336 W Britton Rd, OKC.
She will be greatly missed by all of us whose lives she touched.
