Paula's obituary
Paula Jean Collins (Wiseman), 72, passed away on September 6, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida. Born on February 23, 1953, in Lake Wales, Florida, Paula lived a vibrant and evolving life marked by resilience, faith, and an unmistakable sense of humor.
Throughout her life, Paula embraced change with courage and grace. She faced life’s challenges head-on and emerged stronger each time. In her later years, she found deep purpose through her Christian faith. After her children reached adulthood, Paula experienced a spiritual revival that led her to become a devoted member of Manasota Christian Chapel. Her unwavering belief that God always had an angel watching over her brought her peace and strength. The friendships she formed within her church community became a vital source of support and joy.
Paula was known for her vivacious spirit and unique personality. She had a gift for making people laugh with her candid remarks and quirky charm. Her love for the color purple was legendary—especially when it came to collecting cow-themed or butterfly trinkets in that hue. Shopping trips were among her favorite pastimes, particularly when they led to discovering something whimsical to add to her collection.
She also found joy in the simple pleasures of life: tending to her flowers and plants, spending time at the beach, and cherishing moments with those she loved most. Becoming “Nanny” brought Paula immense pride and happiness. Her daughters were the center of her world, and watching her family grow filled her heart with gratitude.
Paula is survived by her daughter Angela (Eric) Graziano; brother Gary Wiseman; granddaughters Madison (Britton) Cornell and Emily Todd; great-grandchildren Barrett Cornell and Meadow Cornell; as well as many nieces and nephews who will carry forward memories of laughter and love shared with their Aunt Paula.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father Willie (Harvey Willard Wiseman), mother Alice Marilyn Wiseman and daughter Regina Michelle Todd.
A celebration of Paula’s life will be held at Manasota Christian Chapel in Bradenton, Florida. Time and date to be determined.
Paula leaves behind a legacy of humor, loyalty, and determination. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
