Paula's obituary
Our sweet mama, Paula Christal Balandron, finished her race running into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday April 22nd, 2025, at the age of 70 years old in Chesapeake, VA.
Paula was born in Kansas City, Kansas September 24th,1954 to the late Virginia Gunter (Baker) and Robert “Bob” Fulton, graduated Wyandotte High School class of 1972 and was preceded in passing by her brother Steven Baker.
After moving to Murfreesboro, TN in 2016, she was highly active in the Celebrate Recovery ministry and would have celebrated 21 years of sobriety this year. She not only allowed the Lord to bring her out of the fire, but she also ran back to help bring others out.
Though, Paula had a tough road with major medical issues following a massive stroke in 2020, she was a loud and social woman, full of life and animation. She deeply loved her Lord Jesus and told every doctor, nurse, and person she met about His goodness and love.
She also fiercely loved her family and friends, her church family, and her Celebrate Recovery community. She had a true gift of service and served in any capacity she could, from setting up events, to making her famous and fought over deviled eggs for any gathering or holiday meal. She was also a large contributor to social media, had quite the friends list and was known for her silly Snap Chat posts and encouraging daily text messages (whether you thought you wanted them or not).
Paula leaves to cherish her sparky memory, her bonus mother, Brenda Fulton, sister, Elizabeth Fulton; brother, John Thomas; children, Mandy Roman (Hernandez) and Michael Balandron; Bonus son; Dulani Evans, and 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many wonderful friends.
