🎷 Play Your Heart Out: The Paul Towne Memorial Music Scholarship
In memory of a life lived with heart, humor, and soul.
Paul Towne believed in the power of music to move people—to bridge gaps, to speak truth, and to express what words often couldn’t. From his early days playing tenor sax in a high school jazz band to late-night rehearsals in the back of a print shop with Zoppo and the Truetones, Paul poured everything he had into his music. He played with passion, conviction, and joy. He played his heart out.
This scholarship is our way of passing that spirit on.
Play Your Heart Out: The Paul Towne Memorial Music Scholarship will provide financial support to young, aspiring musicians—especially those with limited access to resources—who demonstrate not just talent, but a true passion for music and creative expression who will be pursuing higher education at a college of their choosing.
This scholarship is about more than money. It’s about belief—the same belief Paul gave his friends, his bandmates, and the many people lucky enough to cross his path. He saw potential in others and made sure they felt it.
🎶 Why It Matters:
Music can change lives—and often does.
Many talented young people face financial and systemic barriers to pursuing their musical dreams.
This scholarship will provide real support and send a message: “Keep going. You’re seen. Your music matters.”
How You Can Help:
