Paul's obituary

After a long struggle with mental illness, Paul Roland Stevens IV took his own life at the age of forty seven. A graduate of Kingswood Regional High School and Elon College, Paul grew up in Tewksbury, MA and Wolfeboro, NH.

Nature was his church- he loved hiking, boating, fishing, golfing and swimming, and he caught the sunset whenever possible. A talented soccer player, A Life Scout, a chef, an avid reader and a lifelong learner, Paul was an adventurous traveler. He traveled the world, making many friends along the way with this excellent sense of humor and kind spirit.. His family dubbed him the “International Man of Mystery” as you never knew where or when he might show up, or where he might be going.

He loved music- seeing live performances and sharing these experiences was a favorite pastime.

His dance moves were legendary, his hugs were all encompassing; his impish smile always kept you wondering what he might be up to.

Paul’s respect, admiration and support of all US Veterans was immense, stemming from his beloved Grandparents Avis A.Stevens and Paul R. Stevens Jr., both of whom served our country.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, an organization that builds mortgage-free, smart homes for veterans and first responders, and is committed to ending veteran homelessness.

He is survived by his Mother Rita S. Georges and her husband, James Georges of Wolfeboro, and his father, Paul R. Stevens III, all of Wolfeboro, NH; his sister, Shelley L. Stevens and her child Jules W. Lallo of Portland, ME; and countless friends and relatives around the globe.

A celebration of his full and vibrant life will be held Saturday October 19, 2024 from 3-6 p.m. at Kingswood Golf Club, 24 Kingswood Rd, Wolfeboro, NH.
