Paul graduated from BU Law and began his professional journey as an attorney. However, his career path evolved when he entered the liquor industry, where he left an indelible mark. With the support of his close friend Marge Ansara, Paul transformed Rapid Liquors in Stoneham into a beloved community establishment. Under his leadership, Rapid Liquors became a cornerstone of the local area and continues to thrive today under the stewardship of his son Douglas and Douglas's wife Lisa.
Paul’s entrepreneurial spirit extended beyond the liquor industry. He was also a passionate horse racing enthusiast and co-owned racehorses through Scorpio Stables at Suffolk Downs alongside Marge Ansara. Their horse, Let Burn, achieved great success by winning the prestigious Massachusetts Handicap—a testament to Paul’s dedication and love for the sport.
Above all else, Paul was a devoted family man and friend. He was a loving husband to his wife Carole and a proud father to his sons George and Douglas. Though predeceased by his son George and brother George, Paul’s legacy lives on through those who knew him best. His wisdom, humility, loyalty, and unwavering love left an enduring impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
Paul will be remembered as a brilliant businessman, a fiercely loyal friend, and a protective father who always seemed to have the answers. His strength and kindness were unmatched, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
