Hi Paul,

You'd better give the Posh a kick up the backside. They are evidently missing your support from the stands.

Same goes for HSO- poor first half but much improved in the second.

We were chatting about you in the Albert just the another night. Far from forgotten, still contributing to our lives with your legacy of excitement about music, enthusiasm for the Posh, and dry humour.

We still talk about you often in The Albert and muse on your reaction to everything from the football to the efforts of your orchestra and the state of the world. Thanks for the memories, the laughs, the inspiration and the education.

Lifting a pint to you tomorrow in the Albert, old friend. Your Posh not looking too shabby this season. Judgment on HSO suspended until the 26th when they have a bash at a couple of my favourites.
I often think of Paul. Yesterday I did so as my train pulled past his beloved London Road ground. Looking forward to his memorial concert next weekend. Jess is still encroaching on your seating space in the Albert, Paul.

A great shame and a great loss. Paul and I must have performed close to 100 concerts together over the last 11 years - always a pleasure, and weekly Male Voice Choir rehearsals were great fun too. I also owe him a debt of gratitude for inviting me to play three concertos with the Hitchin Symphony Orchestra, most recently just this May. Paul was someone whose enthusiasms - for Elgar and other English composers, for Peterborough United, for a really good curry - made him seem much younger than his years, increasing the shock and dismay so many of us felt when he was so suddenly struck down. RIP Paul.

Hi....I don’t plan on repeating all those wonderful comments so far written.

Suffice it to say that Adrian and I were friends for over 60 years..... he and I having been at school together way back in the middle of the last century. I shall so miss his company, his humour and his ability to draw one in and share his love of music.

Thank you for being my friend Adrian and thank you for being you. Farewell.

Michael.

I met Paul in 2006 when I joined Hitchin Symphony Orchestra. He was generous in many ways - at his last birthday gathering he gave out gifts rather than receive them! Paul was always keen to pass his love of music on to the younger generation and welcomed children at HSO concerts. My daughter and son remember their little chats and we will all miss him. Our sincere condolences.

Very sorry to hear about Paul. Some very happy memories of performing "The Selfish Giant" and other collaborations with Stevenage Choral Society. A great musician and creator of musical opportunities. The choir will do something in his honour at the earliest opportunity. With best wishes, Robin Osterley, Musical Director, Stevenage Choral Society.
