It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Joseph O'Connor, 66, of Newcastle, ON, on March 14, 2022. Paul passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones after bravely battling cancer for several years. Paul is survived by his wife, Sam, his sons, Scott (Sarah) and Andrew (Lisa), as well as their mother, Audrey, his step children, Michael, Jamie (Sarah), and Holly (David), his grandchildren, Liam, Ryley, Logan, and Natalie, and his brothers, Brian and John. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Mary Ann and Bernard. Paul will also be deeply missed by his constant feline companion, Daphne, who kept him company during treatment.

Paul's wishes were for a small and intimate family celebration of life at a later date. The family is asking for any donations in his name be given to the Lakeridge Health Foundation, specifically to support cancer and palliative care patients.
