Paul's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul Meier, who departed this life on the 18th of November, 2023. Born on August 1, 1942 in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Paul is survived by his wife Rosalie and his five children and numerous grandchildren.
Paul made a significant impact on those he worked with during his career, retiring in 2001 as a Manager for Manufacturing. His dedication, hard work, and passion for his job were truly admired by all. His spirit of public service extended into his personal life as well, where he volunteered as a football announcer at Wharton High School, was a soccer coach, and loved teaching after he retired - with chemistry and physics being his favorite subjects. In the community he lived he was a HOA board member and was later an elected member of the CDD.
As an active member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Paul was deeply committed to his faith. He volunteered in different aspects of the church and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, showing his unwavering commitment to the causes he held dear.
He loved traveling and he had a distinct preference for his wife's cooking and the refreshing taste of an Arnold Palmer. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, and listening to music. His top TV shows were Golf, Nascar, and football. An avid sports enthusiast, Paul was a loyal supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Known for being determined, passionate, and strong, Paul was a lover of playing cards and negotiating ANYTHING! He shared numerous lessons with those around him, some of which included not wearing hats indoors, negotiating.
Paul's legacy will live on in his strong-willed children and grandchildren. His love for fishing, golf, teaching and sharing his stories with people will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Paul Meier will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to inspire us.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately with family.
