Paul's obituary

Paul Edward Lanman, age 84, passed away at home on September 4th, 2022. He was born January 22, 1938, in Circleville, Ohio to Dwight E. and Mary Lindsey Lanman Sr. He was a 1956 graduate of Richmond High School. Slu worked as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker for Wayne Works and Carpenter Manufacturing for many years, and also worked part-time for Qualitronics. Survivors include his sons Mike (Debbie) Lanman of Cambridge City, Patrick (Jacquita) Lanman of Vevay, and Tim (Cindy) Lanman of Centerville, seven grandchildren Brandon, Dustin, Abby, Emily, Hilary, Kenzie, and Kyle, six great-grandchildren Alex, Wyatt, Adler, Ainsley, Silas, and Tilly, his God Daughters Debbie Morris and Mary Ann Pierce, his sister-in-law Alberta Lanman of Angola, his brother Charles R. Lanman of Frankfort, and sixteen nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn Sue Lanman, his parents, his sisters Margaret Weatherly, Gloria Longenecker, Betty Davis, Patsy Batt, and infant sister Mary Alice, one brother Dwight E. Lanman Jr., one sister-in-law Hella Lanman, his brothers-in-law Phillip Davis, Roland Longenecker, and John Batt, his school buddy and long time friend Jay Yoder Sr., God Son Jay Yoder Jr., and his friend Robert "Snuffy" Smith. Slu attended Faith United Lutheran Church. He was a member and Past Master of Hiram Lodge #417 F&AM, a life member of the Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine of Indianapolis, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Funeral will be Friday, September 9th, 2022, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Pastor John Place officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville. Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home, with Masonic Memorial Services starting at 3:45 P.M. In lieu of flowers Slu asked that memorial donations be given to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38148, or Shriners Hospitals for Children Attn: Office of Development 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, Florida 33607.
