Bob “Beege” Gillespie

Farewell to a gentleman. I so enjoyed playing basketball with “Tree” on the EM Hard Guys pickup team at Norwich. He was always a joyful guy, good sportsman, and friend. It doesn’t surprise me that Tree carried on as a man of great character for the rest of his life.

My prayers go out to Paul's family and friends during this time. I still remember all of us "F troop" rooks bursting through the doors for morning formation with the tree standing head and shoulders above the rest of us.

Paul and I were Civil Engineering classmates at Norwich. He will be missed when the "Class of 1971" gathers for our 50th reunion at Norwich in September.
