In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night. And when your sorrow is comforted (time soothes all sorrows) you will be content that you have known me. You will always be my friend...I shall not leave you.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

Much love, Amy Macdonald

In the 1990s sitcom "Murphy Brown," Eldin Bernecky was Murphy Brown’s resident house painter and philosopher. Eldin never quite finished at Murphy’s house. There was always something to be painted or repaired.

For the staff of Keren Keshet, Paul was our Eldin. We work in an 1890s townhouse where there is always a repair or renovation that needs attention, and Paul was our resident “fixer.” Paul had a talent for repairing whatever he was asked to do. From minor hardware changes to major plastering and painting, the directive was “better call Paul.” He was a master craftsman, and he treated each assignment with kid gloves. Paul knew how to complete a job right. He’d come in, assess the situation, and get to work. No muss, no fuss.

We will long remember Paul as a kind friend and thoughtful colleague, and trust that loving memories will console and comfort his family and close friends. May they be spared further sorrow.

Respectfully,
The Staff of Keren Keshet
