Pat Streiff was born July 2, 1985 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. From a young age, he was always on the go, he was never one to let grass grow under his feet. Later in life, one could only guess where he’d decide to travel to next with his beloved “mountain dog Sophie”. You rarely saw one without the other. Pat lived life to the fullest and was always planning his next adventure, usually it involved his love of gold mining.

Pat graduated from Winterset High School in 2003. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years. During lay off, he would head out west with his trusted companion, Sophie, to scout out new areas for gold. Though he hadn’t “struck it rich” yet, he found enough to keep his dreams alive.

Pat passed away January 13, 2022 at the age of 36, in Nipomo, California.

Though he could come across a little gruff, Pat cared deeply for his family and friends. He was always the first to help if anyone needed anything. Pat will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his mother, Julie Woods; brother, Doug Streiff; Sisters Mandy (Chris) Lee, Heidi (Josh) Stephenson, and Grace Woods; nephews, Ari and David Lee and Lane and Carter Stephenson; and nieces, Esme and Molly Lee; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Since Pat didn't like the cold, a celebration of life will be held July 2, 2022. Additional information will be added.
