Patrick's obituary
Patrick passed away on January 29, 2024. He was uncompromisingly private, but if you were in his inner circle, you knew he was fiercely loyal, protective, and full of love. His family meant everything to him.
He is survived by his siblings Mike and Candy, children Jeremy, Shari, Jason and Sue, and his 9 grandchildren who he (often!) openly and enthusiastically praised. According to Patrick, they shot harder, danced stronger, ran faster and were smarter than any other humans. As only a grandparent could, he curated a photo hall of fame in his home that stood as a completely biased testament to their achievements.
Patrick's life unfolded as a modern success story, starting at age 15 in the stock room of a KMart in Wichita, Kansas. With pure determination, street smarts (and maybe a few confrontations), he climbed the corporate ladder and eventually became a successful entrepreneur in the garment industry.
In the latter part of his life, Patrick called Arizona, California, Kansas, and New York home. A constant in his day to day life was his quiet and selfless service to his community.
While Patrick's family will privately celebrate his life, stories shared by acquaintances have proven pivotal in the healing journey. All are welcome to contribute a memory or message on this page to commemorate Patrick's extraordinary life.
For almost a decade, Patrick dedicated his time to Lifeline Center, a special education school, and is an honorary trustee in perpetuity. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lifeline in Patrick's name.
