Patrick's obituary
Patrick is survived by his soulmate and life partner of 23 years, Briana Robichaud, their son, Patrick Quinn Jr, a daughter, Denice Ivy Stover, his brother, Jason Quinn, his mother, Mary Travis and his Grandmother, Lela Quinn. He is also survived by many foster brothers that his mother had taken care of over the years. His household growing up was always filled to the brim with many children that his mother welcomed into her home and heart.
Patrick was born in Portland, Maine on October 28, 1977 to Roger J. Quinn and Mary E Quinn. He graduated from North Atlantic Regional High School, in Lewiston, Maine with top honors in 1986 after being in the Gifted and Talented Program in South Portland, Maine. Patrick was a great cook and worked in many restaurants over the years and tried other jobs as well but he found his passion in wanting to help people and make a positive contribution to peoples' lives. He decided after seeing many of his friends growing up passing away from drug abuse issues that he wanted to help people to beat their addictions. It broke his heart to see his generation struggling with substance abuse and he wanted more than anything to save people from the hell of addictions if he could. He had begun to get his licensure in order to set up his own private practice and was so excited for his future. He felt he had found his purpose in life and was working away at making his dream his future. Patrick had always helped people over the years, he could never turn anyone away that needed a hand or a place to stay, he was so kind and giving, that was always his nature.
Patrick was a devoted father and was a wonderful partner and soul mate to his son's mother. Patrick was very technologically inclined and did a lot of phone and computer repairs, he was brilliant in that area. He used to build phones and computers from scratch, an impressive feat. Technology was his avid hobby. He always was interested in the cutting edge of technology and kept up with all the advancements. He had a large twitter following with other tech minded people.
Patrick was a cherished friend to many and a devoted son to his mother and father. He took care of his father when his father was very ill and dying and bought a house for his father to live out his final days in and was planning on having a mother suite built on the house so his mother could come to live with them so he could take care of her too. He was a very giving person and will be sorely missed by all who loved him.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later time, he did not want a funeral. He always wanted his life to be celebrated instead of his life being mourned in a funeral. Donations to the celebration of life are being taken on Go Fund Me in lieu of flowers. Link to Go Fund Me: https://www.gofundme.com/f/se…
