Patrick's obituary
Patrick Charles Ondara Obutu aka Pat or “Diesel” was called home on Sunday February 19, 2023.
Patrick was born in Silver Spring, MD on January 10, 1989. Pat was raised in Beltsville, MD and attended High Point High School. After high school he attended North American Trade School and graduated with a diploma in Diesel Technology in 2019. Pat would go on to land the highest paying job in his graduating class working as a Diesel Mechanic for Curtis Bay Medical Waste Services. Not only did Pat land a career for himself, he opened the door for his other classmates to secure similar opportunities.
In 2022, Patrick would start his Transportation company, Obutu Transportation, LLC. Pat had big plans for his future. Pat envisioned a successful business and started to plan the blueprint for a family home in Kenya.
Patrick loved his family with his entire soul and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them. One of Pat’s most cherished roles in life was being an uncle. Pat was improving himself so that he could be the best role model to his nephew and nieces. Pat enjoyed hanging with friends at a lounge, bar, or just around the way. He started to develop a love for traveling as recently returned from Jamaica, Uganda, and Kenya. Pat built an everlasting relationship with everyone he came into contact with. Whether he was in PG County, Kampala Uganda or Nairobi Kenya, you always knew when Pat was at an event. Pat’s smile always lit up the room. His presence was always felt because he filled the room with laughter and positive energy.
Patrick leaves to cherish his memories: His parents Jane and Moses Obutu; His siblings Adebayo (Bayo), Naomi, Christopher, and Steven; His nephew and nieces Maki, Alauna, and Anisa; Brother-in-law Samuel Rouse Jr. (Dee). He will also be remembered by a host of grandparents, uncles, aunties, cousins, and friends
