Patrick's obituary
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Patrick Montello, Sr. who was called home on November 29, 2022. Born on September 6, 1960, Patrick lived a life full of kindness, generosity, and a unique sense of humor that touched everyone who knew him. His eccentric, wacky, and funny personality made him an unforgettable character to all who encountered him. He loved his family with a fierceness that couldn't be fully described - especially his sons, Patrick, Jr and Nicholas. But he adored all his nieces and nephews, he always felt like they were his own.
Patrick was known for his loving nature, especially towards the younger ones around him. He was blessed with the ability to bring laughter into the hearts of everyone and has left the world a much less funny and interesting place without him.
As a firm believer in giving his whole heart to those he loved, Patrick dedicated his life to serving others which has greatly contributed to his legacy. A lover of the fine arts, he was a multitalented individual who achieved great heights in his career. His accomplishments included receiving a Cable Ace Award for his work with the Boffo Yux Dudes and being featured on the Rush Limbaugh show. Furthermore, he was proud to be the Lead Voice Actor in Hatchling Studios The Toll and appeared in Endurance Challenge, Mordred's Isle with Billy West and Richard McGonagle. But he was equally as proud to do local community theater work - any moment spent on the stage was a good moment for him. Patrick had a unique ability for impressions, particularly Elvis, Frank Sinatra, and Christopher Walken - and would frequently sing or tell a joke in "someone else's voice" which was uncannily like the original. He incorporated this ability in much of his radio work which will continue to live on as part of his enduring legacy.
Patrick, the ever vibrant and good-hearted man, was a dedicated father to his sons, Patrick Jr, and Nicholas, who survive him. He was a dedicated son to his Mom, Marie Montello (who joined him in heaven on July 13, 2023) and Mario Pinierio of Hampstead, NC. Patrick was a loving big brother to his brothers and sisters : David Dow of Amesbury, MA, who pre-deceased him, Jon Montello of Sanford, ME, Jamie Dow of Seabrook, NH, Annie Richard of MA, Brendan Loughman of MA, James Pinierio of Rochester, NH and while he was not his brother by blood, he was his brother by choice, Donn Kelly of Newburyport, MA. His nieces and nephews whom he loved with all of him and he was so so proud of - Sharon Orta, Nikki Montello, Corinne Potter, Kelsey Maurais, Nicole Pinierio, Emily Dow, Ben Dow, Jessica Jennings, and Aisling Sanders. He also leaves behind his former wife Cyndi (Montello) Jones and many friends, whom he ALL considered family. His loss is deeply felt by his family, friends, and the many lives he touched.
