Patrick's obituary

Patrick John McCormick, December 19, 1936- January 2, 2025. He was a loving husband to the late Vanna (Van) Ferber, son of the late Timothy and Nora (Tehan) McCormick. Brother to Timothy (Dorothy), Michael (Marilyn), Kathleen (Dennis) Bialk, Margaret Lyons, Dennis ( Mary), Noreen, and Mary (Bill) Tetzlaff. Uncle to 32 nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law to Marie & Bruce MacDowell.

Thank you to his great-niece Brenna (Abe) Gustafson and friends Tim Romero, Richard Miehe, and Dan Dockstader for their care and advocacy in his last years.

Patrick lived a long and interesting life. He served as a Chaplain in the Army worked in the restaurant business as part owner of Maries in the Greenwood neighborhood, and practiced landscaping. In retirement, he advocated for senior and low-income housing initiatives and practiced his advocacy as a handyman for his retirement community. He was always assisting his fellow neighbors with a ride to the store, a trip to the doctor, or a lift to the airport.

Patrick was adventurous, driving from Seattle to Milwaukee to New Mexico in his 1970s pickup truck until it finally broke down in Idaho around 2018.

Patrick lived life with curiosity, wit, and genuine care for all. Countless friends will miss him.

As Patrick would say '"Ciao for now."
