When I was raising my daughter on my own in Houston while her dad was away, Tito Pat never failed to check on us. He called me every week, and whenever he went on his fishing trips to Matagorda, he would always stop by just to say hello and to talk and play with Julia. Those moments meant more to me than he ever knew.

He would listen to my worries and heartaches and always gave the most honest and straightforward advice. His words came from love and experience, never sugar-coated, but always full of warmth and wisdom. He was tough but kind, serious yet able to make you laugh when you needed it most.

Thank you, Tito Pat, for the many beautiful memories and for being a Popsie to Julia. You showed us love in your own quiet and steady way through your calls, your visits, your laughter, and your care.

I’ll never forget what you once told me:

“I’m proud of how you stood up for what you want for yourself and Julia. You are one brave lady, but one thing’s for sure, you are a great mom to Julia. Always remember that.”

Those words have stayed with me all these years, and they mean even more now. Rest easy, Tito Pat. We will carry your love, laughter, and wisdom with us always. ❤️
