Patricia's obituary
She was born on March 14, 1937, in Bridgeport, CT. In her early 20's, she relocated to California, where she married twice, had five children and attended college at UCSB. She spent time in Oregon, Alaska and finally Hardin, MT, where she made her home. In 2016, she moved to Billings to live with her daughter and be closer to her family.
Pat had a strong-willed, adventurous, free spirit that lead her to find work in a variety of different jobs including, but not limited to accounting, tax preparation, IRS, and census work. She also had her own Housekeeping business before she retired. She had a hankering for traveling, even as far as Europe. She spent time on many Native American reservations learning their traditions, including tanning hides. Many will remember Pat for the stories she shared of her travels and life experiences, and her witty sense of humor. In the terminus years of her life she was plagued by numerous complex medical conditions. Even so, she remained motivated, independent, and never lost her faith. On her final day, surrounded by family and friends, with her hand being held by her granddaughter, she began a new journey.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, John Paul Synnott and Aldona Isabel Yanchitis, a brother John Paul Synnott II, and a sister, Bonnie Jacqueline Synnott. She is survived by her siblings Nancy Johnson of Beaufort, SC, John Synnott of TX, George Synnott of Levies, TN and Sheila Synnott of Stanton, CA; her children Gary (Adi) Schneider of Chicago, IL, Jim (Julie) Schneider of Baton Rouge, LA, Tracy Webb of Billings, MT, Brian Webb of Detroit, MI and John Webb of Billings, MT; grandchildren Jennifer Fruichantie and Joseph Reichart (Tracy), Ava and Maxamillian Schneider (Gary), Ricky, Hannah, Sarah, Deborah and Leah Schneider (Jim), Austin and Kira Webb (John), Brandi, Jasmine and Lily Webb (Brian); great-grandchildren, Lacey Madrid and Eli Van Hook.
Pat's family shares their heartfelt gratitude to her doctors, Dr. Neal Sorenson and Dr. Michael Schabacker, for the above and beyond care they provided, the Staff at Avantara for their encouragement and comfort care, and to Linda, who was there for all of us in our time of need. We can't thank you enough for being not only her guardian angel, but her true friend, and now ours, too.
